Show WELLSVILLE- Mrs. Carrie Larsen ' who was observing her 81st birthday Sunday, Sun-day, was guest of honor at a delicious de-licious dinner served at the Logan canyon park by members of her family. Covers were laid for 46 children, grand children and great grand children. Out of town guests were Mrs. Delbert Duce and Mrs. Ollie Elwood of Hyde Park, Martha and Marion Glenn of Garland. The Ladies' Junior Literary club met Wednesday at the hom of Mrs. Anna Parkinson. A business busi-ness and sewing evening were enjoyed en-joyed with Venna Perkins in charge. Refreshments wera served to fourteen. The partners of the members of the Just-a-Mere club entertained at a hot supper for their wives Wednesday evening at Price's grove. A larg? bonfire, games and refreshments were enjoyed by Messrs. and Mes dames Edd Bas-sett, Bas-sett, Louis Jerkins, Eugene Jones, Wm. Walters, Wm. Joy, Melvin Archibald, Ernest Hall, Lroy Leishman and Spencer Maughan. Miss Elaine Brenchley of Ogden, and Miss Claire McOallister of Salt Lake, spent Saturday evening here with Miss Brenchley, parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brnchley. They accompanied Don Brown of Salt Lake and Douglas Boreles of Logan to Logan canyon can-yon and enjoyed an early breakfast. break-fast. They returned to their homes Sunday. Mrs. Fred Maycock of Canada spent the week end here with Mrs. Milli Baxter and calling on friends. Mrs. Audra Turner and son Leon and Mrs. Howard Jones sp:tat Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday at Graci and Soda Springs, Idaho, with Mr. and Mrs. D. P. Maughan and Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Maughan. Mayne Turner, who has spent the past six weeks at Soda Springs, came home with his mother to attend school. Mr. and Mrs. Heber Maughan, Mr. and. Mrs. John T. Darley and Thomas T. Darley left Saturday for a two we:ks trip through Zions Park and to Boulder Dam. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. James H. Stuart and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Darley of Logan. left Logan for a trip to Los Ang-Mr. Ang-Mr. and Mrs. Frank L. Maughan eles, Calif., to visi their daughter Mrs. Ollie Jacobsen. They acom-panied acom-panied Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Baird of Brigham City and will spend two w eks. The Wellsville Second ward MX A. officers and Teachers enjoyed a swim at Logana and a lunch at the Smithfield park Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Selley and sons Woodrow and Leland spent th week end at Kemmerer, Wyo Miss Airley Selley came home with her parents after spending a week there with Mr. and Mrs Irvin Baker. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Randall and Civic, Arizona, spent uSnday and i Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Pres-jton Pres-jton Brenchley. Mr. Randall was a missionary companion of Mr i Brenchley. I |
