Show AXTELL Mrs. Ruel Nielson, Corr. The pageant, "The Story of the College of Opportunity," staged by the Axtell Relief society. The annual "Old Folks' Party" went over with a whoop The program and banquet in the afternoon af-ternoon could not be beaten and at night both old and young joined in a peppy dance. Special mention should be made and congratulations given to Mr. Harris and the Centerfield public school band, who furnished a lively part of the program. And as directors: John Jensen, Ruel Nielson, Chas. Jensen, Roldo Larson and Lorin Kump. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Beck and Mrs. John K. Madsen of Mt. Pleasant, visited vis-ited relatives and friends at Axtell Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Truman Sorenson have returned from a pleasure trip :o the capital city. Mrs. Fearon Despain was hostess last Thursday to members of the 'amily at a birthday dinner. Mrs. Orion Sorenscn is spending a few days visiting her sister, Mrs. Clinton Christensen, at Mayfield. Mr. and Mrs. Ruel Nielson spent Sunday at Sterling, and were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Iver Iverson. A number of the young married people enjoyed the married folks' dance at Salina last Thursday night. Alvin Jensen and his father, A. S. Jensen, were business visitors at Ephraim last Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Ruel Nielson spent Tuesday at Richfield and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Nielson and family. George Q. and Earl Whitlock were business visitors at Richfield last Wednesday. |
