The deciding battle for the title was held at Eph-raini Eph-raini Wednesday evening, with the Ephraim high cagers as the opponents, oppon-ents, and had the college city boj'3 been victorious, Gunnison and Moroni would have been thrown into a tie. By besting Ephraim, however, the , Bulldogs take the title and further games to decide the outcome will be unnecessary. Wednesday night's game proved one of the thrillers of the league play. Rough tactics appeared a little during' . the game, but generally speaking it was clean and every player, on both teams, gave their very best. In the opening quarter the Bulldogs got a scare that brought them to their feet. While Ephraim was rounding out 7 points, the Bulldogs ended with but 4 counters. The tables were turned at this point and the half period showed show-ed Gunnison with 14, and Ephraim lagging with 11. Andersen, forward, and Beck, forward, for-ward, for the Bulldogs were the out-' standing point getters for the locals. Andersen counted 11 points, while Beck shot 3 baskets and converted -1 fouls, for a total of 10. Ralph Beauregard, Beaure-gard, substituting for Hill, eliminated eliminat-ed on fouls, was the star guard for the Bulldogs. Ralph played and unusual un-usual game and was instrumental in "fussing" the Ephraim outfit and allowing al-lowing the Bulldogs to run up the score they did. E. Peterson, Ephraim's left guard, was the stellar player for his crew, and he was credited with getting 10 out of the 17 points for his teammates. In the ten games played, Gunnison Gunni-son has lost but one, that going to Moroni February 14. In most cases the Bulldogs carried off the honors with safe margins.
