Show Red Cross Roll Call Starts Today; Membership Fees Aid Unfortunates Today, November 15, marks the opening of the annual Red Cross membership drive throughout the nation, na-tion, the states and the many communities. com-munities. The drive will be waged vigorously until Thanksgiving night, November 29. This time of depression, and with multitudes of unemployed facing a wicked winter of distress and1 want, Red Cross chapters throughout the nation are to put forth every effort to lessen the suffering by its charitable work through distribution dis-tribution of needs for the suffering humanity. Recently Mrs. Spencer Moffitt, chapter chairman of Sanpete county, announced that the county had been organized for the annual Red Cross roll call, and that the objective mem-. mem-. bership had been set at 650 for the ; county. Mrs. Oscar Tolck of Gunnison has been named as local chairman for the drive in this city. Gunnison's membership mem-bership has been set at 42, and when the drive starts here it is hoped that the response will be quick and liberal and that the required membership can be secured at once, so that the city can be among the first to go "over j the top." Mrs. Tolck will have a committee com-mittee working with her in the drive, J and there should be no trouble in getting get-ting patriotic citizens to respond.
