Show Bulldogs Lose !n Close Encounter Cunnison Bulldogs, in a scamper with the Richfield Wildcats, lost a close game of basketball on the Gunnison Gun-nison Valley high school court Wednesday Wed-nesday evening of last week, the visitors vis-itors ending with 32 points, while the Bulldogs closed the session with a 29 count. The locals, evidently, have not hit the usual stride, characteristic of the team's playing in former years, but the game with Richfield showed wonderful improvement by the Bulldogs Bull-dogs in the pre-season bouts. There are several pre-season games yet scheduled before tne league season opens, and Coach Alexander is gradually gra-dually getting his boys in playing shape. Intensive daily practice is re- suiting m bringing the local high school boys out of the "kinks," and they are expected to start the opening open-ing games of the league in smart style. Andersen, forward, Pierce at center, cen-ter, Embley, guard, and Christensen, center, for the locals, were the star performers for the locals at Wednesday Wednes-day night's frolic. Liston, playing center cen-ter for the Wildcats, and E. Peterson, forward, for the visitors, had a combined com-bined score of 19 points. During the holiday season, the time of the Bulldogs is well scheduled, and they will be seen in action Friday night, when Monroe comes to Gunnison; Gunni-son; Wednesday of next week, when the Bulldogs will clash with the Lov-ell, Lov-ell, Wyo., quint at Gunnison, and on Monday, December 31, the locals will entertain the Marysvale boys at the high school gymnasium.
