Show LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST " ! Mrs. Elmo Sorenson entertained for members of the Junior Bridge club at her home Wednesday evening of last week. At the card game, first prize went to Miss Elva Foote and the second was awarded to Miss Marie Gledhill. Mrs. Sorenson served a dainty luncheon to the guests at eleven o'clock. A. O. Hardy of Centerfield, accompanied accom-panied by his family, has gone to Minersville, where he plans to remain re-main indefinitely. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Olsen of Axtell, Ax-tell, announce the birth of a fine, baby boy at their home Saturday. Mother and son are doing splendidly. Mr. and Mrs. Del Hofhedns and children, Salt Lake City, are spend-big spend-big a few weeks at the home of Mr. j and Mrs. E. J. Erickson, parents ofi Mrs. Hofheins. Duane Frandsen and Moyle Ras-mussen, Ras-mussen, students at the University of Utah, are at their respective homes in Gunnison to spend the holiday vacation. va-cation. Classes at the university were , dismissed Friday of last week, and students will not report for studies until Wednesday, January 2nd. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Duggins and Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Hill were transacting trans-acting business at Salt Lake Wednesday Wed-nesday of last week. Marshal R. L. Tollestrup and Mrs. Tollestrup left for Los Angeles Tuesday Tues-day morning, and will enjoy a two-week two-week vacation on the coast. Primarily, Primar-ily, they will visit with their daughter, daugh-ter, Miss Beth Tolleetrup, and their sons, Ross, Duane and Jay Tollestrup. Clair Tollestrup is caring for the duties du-ties of his father during the latter's absence. Miss. Enna Lundelicrg, who was recently re-cently discharged from a Sal: Lake hospital, whore she had undergone an aggravating operation, was at Salt Iike last week-end conferring with her physicians. The many friends of Miss Lundeberg will be glad to know she is now recovering nicely. |
