Show Aid In Developing Resources of Utah The Utah Industrial Development Association has undertaken an investigation inves-tigation of the clays and other noa-metall noa-metall ic minerals of Utah for the purpose pur-pose of encouraging the development of industries throughout the state. To that end, the association is now gathering samples of non-metallic minerals, together with a description of the deposits, distances from transportation trans-portation facilitos, etc., upon receipt of which sample will be analyzed and if found valuable for commercial use, an endeavor will be niadc to interest capital and manufacturers in their development. The publishers of The News ore cooperating with the association . in th,e work, and therefore suggest that foe owners of all non-metallic mineral miner-al deposits in this section :;end sample 3 of their product to the association, ,415 Beason Building, Salt Lake City, the samples not to exceed five pounds in weight. There will be no cn.vgo made by the association for the service ser-vice rendered. The Utah Industrial Development association is a state-wide organization, organiza-tion, instituted and supported by a large number of Utah men who are unselfishly interested in the development develop-ment of industry throughout the State. It is a non-profit organization operating along the lines of a statu 'chamber of commerce, and therefore, cannot operate as a money-making institution, its only interest bein-j the welfare of the state in general. Due to the great variety of miner-j miner-j als which Nature so generously de-Ipos'ted de-Ipos'ted throughout the State of Utah, a movement of this kind should provo extremely valuable in th" development develop-ment of all sections of Utah. It, is a worthy undertaking and should receive re-ceive the cooperation of every citizen. who- is interested in seeing Utah U.ke its proper place in the industrial world. |
