Show 'Splendid Tribute for M.Beauregard A kind and loving tribute was paid Marenus Beauregard, prominent and beloved citizen of Gunnison, who died at a Salt Lake hospital, Saturday af-temooon af-temooon when hundreds of friends gathered at the high school auditorium auditor-ium to pay the last farewell. Under the direction of Bishop Leslie Kidman an impressive service, was held and the auditorium was filled with sorrowing sor-rowing friends. Following the opening hymn, "Ob, My Father," by a mixed quartet, invocation in-vocation was offered by Bishop Erick Ludvigson of Sterling. Solon Edwards of Sterling, Hyrum Christiansen of Mayfield and H. C. Olsen of Gunnison Gunni-son were the principal speakers. A splendid tribute was offered for the good citizen who had been called to the other world. His life was pictured pic-tured in glowing terms for the splendid splen-did character, the kind and loving friend, citizen and benefactor. An impressive musical program was g'ven during the services, and consisted consis-ted of "Sometime We'll Understand," by the quartet; solo, Milton Perkins; sclo, "My Father Knows," Mrs. June Metcalf, accompanied by the quartet; "Shall We Meet Beyond the' River," the closing number by the quartet, was followed by the benediction, which was offered by Hyrum Christiansen., Following the services at the auditorium audi-torium the remains were taken to the Gunnison cemetery for final interment. inter-ment. A profusion of beautiful floral offerings banked the grave. Those from outside points attending attend-ing the last rites for Mr. Beauregard were Mrs. H. A. Anderson and son Lynn, Rigby, Idaho; Nelson Beauregard, Beaure-gard, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Davis, Mr. and Mrs. A. Beauregard, Mr. and Mrs. Orson Huntsman, Mr. and Mrs. Sor-enson, Sor-enson, Mr. and Mrs. Deardon and Mr. and Mrs. E. Payne and sons, Fillmore; Fill-more; Mr. and Mrs. A. Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Solon Edwards, John Edwards, Ed-wards, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Anderson, Mrs. I. Bailey, Mrs. Ellen Bradley, Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas, Mrs. May Nielson, Mrs. John Peterson and Mrs. Calvin Peacock of Sterling; Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Christiansen and Hyrum Olsen of Mayfield. |
