Show A TEMPORARY DIVORCE. While the idea of Mr. and Mrs. Florian L. Hummer of Cleveland regarding re-garding getting a divorce but remaining remain-ing friends is not new, their experiment experi-ment had a rather unusual sequel. Deciding that they could no longer live as man and wife in happiness, they agreed to secure a divorce, but; to remain in their $40,000 home, shej as manager of the household and he as merely a boarder. At the end of 30 days they felt the urge to make up and have the divorce get aside. Seeking the judge who had made the decree, they informed him of their desire. They were pleasantly .surprised to be informed that the judge had never signed the record, having susjiected how matters would turn out, and consequently they had not been legally divorced at all. 'J here are probably many other couples cou-ples who might wave their matrimonial bark from shipwreck by a temporary! severance of relations by mutual consent, con-sent, instead of rushing to the divorce court on slight provocation. |
