Show Prices Are Reduced At National Parks With the approval of the secretary 1 of the interior, reduced rates for hotel ho-tel and transportation service go into effect next season in Zion and Bryce Canyon National parks and on the( north rim of Grand Canyon National j park. Hotel service rates have been reduced 10 to 30 per cent. Two per- sons occupying a standard cabin will ! be charged $4.50 each per day on the American plan, as compared with $0 each last year, at Zion and Bryce Canyon lodges. The rates for the bus tours through these parks, operated by Utah Parks company out of Cedar City, have been correspondingly reduced. re-duced. The rate for the all-expense five-day tour of Zion, Bryce, North Rim and Cedar Breaks will be $59.75 instead of the former rate of $74.50,! a reduction of 20 per cent. I An added information service will be rendered at Zion National park beginning next season, that of road information to Toroweap Valley. Toroweap Valley is is the new Grand Canyon National Monument and is most easily reached through Zion National park. While the road to it is unimproved, impassable at times in stormy weather, it is expected that there will be several of the more adventuresome ad-venturesome automobile travelers who will want to visit this spectacular scenic point next summer. |
