Show Business Women Traveling Abroad The National Federation of Business Busi-ness and Professional Women's club, New York City, in order to keep the various state and city organizations posted of the activities of the rep- resentatives who are touring seven j European countries, is forwarding to newspapers weekly reports received re-ceived from the visitors to the foreign for-eign lands. Naturally the local club will be interested and the first report re-port from the New York headquarters headquar-ters is here printed: Intei-national amity and understanding under-standing is receiving tangible expression ex-pression in the entertainment proffered prof-fered fifty-nine women representing the National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs, who sailed from New York July 20th on the Carmania, for a tour of seven European countries, in the interests of a closer relationship between American and European business women. Although their stay in Londan was br'ef, entertainment in their honor included a number of billiant functions func-tions arranged by prominet English club women occasions which gave opportunity for the discussion of matters of mutual interest to business busi-ness and professional women on both sides of the Atlantic. Miss Lena Madesin Phillips of New York City, President of the National Federation and leader of the tour, spoke at each of these events. As a parting gesture of international inter-national friendship, when twenty intrepid in-trepid members of the party chartered charter-ed an aeroplane for the trip from i London to Paris, Miss Edith Bees- ley, well known London insurance woman, placed free insurance on the entire group. Paris business women have been j no less hospitable than their British! sisters, and have royally entertained j i the Good Will party. A luncheon with the Soroptomists' Club, presided presid-ed over by Mile. Bassot, President of jthe Club and head of "La Residence : Rociale" made many profitable and interesting contacts, while recent dispatches tell of a special showing of advance styles at Worth's proving prov-ing that even business women are not indifferent to French fashions.
