Fletcher Peterson, local manager for Max Cohen's store, visited with friends at Provo last Sunday. Peter Blixt of Santaquin is here visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Blixt. Mrs. Leo Bardsley and children have gone to Moroni for an extended visit to relatives. Miss Belva Erickson of Salt Lake City, is in Gunnison for a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Erickson. Erick-son. Reuben Buchanan came in from Salt Lake Tuesday evening and was the . guest , of his brother, Royal Buchanan. Bu-chanan. Miss Mary Swalberg was a traveler, travel-er, to Marysvale yesterday afternoon. She will be absent three weeks and will visit, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Swalberg. , Miss Lilly Johnson came in from West Jordan last evening and will be here for an extended visit with -relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. June Metcalf, Mrs. Joe Willardson and Mrs. Joseph Mor- tensen, spent several days at Fish Lake last week. Benj. Brown, manager for the Utah Poultry Producers, Inc., Salt Lake, was here last Friday making an inspection of the local plant. Miss Javenta Thorpe of this city, and Mrs. Cannon Jensen of Axtell, spent last Saturday and Sunday seeing see-ing the beauties of Bryce canyon. R. C. Norman, manager for the J. C. Penney company, motored to Delta Del-ta yesterday. He was on a combined business and pleasure trip. A. M. Peterson, manager for the Star Market, was a visitor to Price last Sunday. He was there on important im-portant business matters. Miss Elva Jennings, who spent a week visiting with friends and rela- lives in Gunnison and Centerfield, returned to her home at Nephi the early days of this week. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Roper and Mont Roper, who were the guests at the home of Mr .and Mrs. J. H. Ferre last week, have returned to their homes at Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Sorenson motored to Salina last Sunday ,being called there on account of the death of Mrs. Sorenson's sister, Mrs. Niel Jensen. Mrs. C. T. Hoff and Miss Jean , Hoff, returned to Salt Lake this morning after spending several days - visiting with Mrs. Hoff's father, , Marenius Beauregard. Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Parr and children chil-dren came in last Friday evening from Rock Springs, Wyo. Mrs. Parr had been visiting with relatives for several weeks at the Wyoming city. Mrs. Ellen Hofheins and son Newell, New-ell, and Miss. Meredith of American Fork, went south Sunday. They visited vis-ited Bryce canyon and other scenic points south while away. Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Duggins and Miss Luzon Beck left for Logan the first of the week. They will attend the annual encampment to be held at the northen metropolis this week. Melrose Christensen, who has been at Dividend for several weeks past, is at home for a visit with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Christensen. Christen-sen. Mr. and Mrs. Niel Sorenson, the blisses Belva and Marjorie Sorenson Soren-son and Theresa Duggins motored to Salt Lake last Saturday. ' They spent several days at the capitol city as the guests of friends and relatives. "Bill" Shay and L. Ludvigson were up from Marysvale yesterday. They were here conferring with P. T. Henry, president of the Valdasia Mining company, relative to operations opera-tions at the mine at Marysvale. W. L. Beausard, purchasing agent and J. A. Boshhardt, treasurer, of the Telluride Power company, were in the city last Saturday. They were conferring with Frank Nelson, local manager for the company. Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Jones, and Mrs. James Bown, spent last Sunday visiting visit-ing with relatives at Goshen. Returning Re-turning they were accompanied by Miss Byrl Bown, who had been visiting visit-ing at the Utah county town for a week. Clyde Whitlock, cashier, and Wm 'TVIetcalf, president of the Gunnison City National bank, of this city, a:ul Charles Whitlock, of Mayficld, returned re-turned Tuesday from a short business busi-ness visit to Salt Lake City. Mrs. C. E. Halverson, accompanied accompani-ed by her daughter, Catherine, are in the city from Rigby, Idaho, for an extended visit with M. Beauregard. Mrs. Halverson has property interests inter-ests here that demand her attention and after arranging matters she and her daughter will return to thuir home in the Gem state. |
