Show Rail Board Dismisses Dispute Chicago The wage dispute between eighteen short line railroads and eighteen railroad organizations representing repre-senting the workers on these carriers was dismissed by the United States railroad labor board in a decision Friday. The board's decision recited that due to the varying work done under un-der varying conditions by the 4,000 employes on the carriers, it was found impracticable to decide the wage dispute on the evidence offered. The board cautioned the carriers in the dispute not to reduce the pay of their employes or change their working work-ing rules until the matter had been handled by representatives of the employes, and in case of failure to agree had been brought before the labor board in accordance with the transportation act. |
