Show Impressive Services For Mrs. Poulsen Simple but impressive funeral services were held for Mrs. Christian Poulsen from the Centerfield meeting meet-ing house last Sunday afternoon. A large number of friends gathered to pay the last tribute to. the one who had been summoned to the Great Beyond. Be-yond. Mrs. Poulsen passed away following childbirth. Services for the deceased were conducted con-ducted by Bishop Soren Anderson and Chorister Sidney Fjeldsted led the singing, beginning with "I Need Thee Every Hour." Invocation was offered by H. C. Jensen, N. L. Lund, was one of the principal speakers. He dwelt at length on the good work done and the extreme hospitality of the deceased. The speaker also praised the family of Mrs. Poulsen in Copenhagen, having been there a a missionary, and he also was one who officiated when she embraced the crnonol T7-nl 1 mvin a- tlio annn" "TsTonr- er, My God, to Thee," A. C. Fjeldsted Brigham Jensen and Bishop Anderson Ander-son made brief addresses eulogizing the splendid 'traits of Mrs. Poulsen "Shall We Meet Beyond the River" was then sung, after which benediction benedic-tion was offered by C. H. Embley. and C. H. Christiansen gave the ded-:catory ded-:catory prayer at the cemetery. N. L. Lund, C. E. Embley, W. A. Fjeldsted, Fjeld-sted, C. H. Christiansen, Joseph S Jensen and Andrew Jensen acted as pallbearers. The floral offerings offerings of-ferings from the many warm friends were beautiful, 'the casket being banked profusely with roses, carnations carna-tions and other flowers. Carlfine Bodil Poulsen was the daughter of Ludvig and Kjoston Andersen. An-dersen. She was born in Denmark. December 15, 1SS4. where she embraced em-braced the gospel and married Christian Chris-tian T. Poulsen, thirteen years ago. She had resided in Centerfield sever, years, all of which time was spent in usefulness. She was proficient in needlecraft and taugh; many of tin women and girls here the art of embroidery em-broidery and fancy work. Besides her parents, one brother and two sisters in Denmark, she i survived by her husband, a daughter the infant baby and a sister, Mrs. J , F. Christ iansen. |
