Show Local News Miss Christy Madsen, after a ten days visit with friends and relatives at Salt Lake, has returned to her home in Gcnnison. Miss Lois Myrup left for Provo Monday Mon-day morning of this week. She will register as a student at the B. Y. university. Mrs. Miles Madsen, and son, Miles Edward Madsen, returned Sunday from a week's visit with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brown at Richfield. A ten pound baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Johnson yesterday yester-day morning. The mother and baby uri both doing nicely. R. H. Drum, special adjuster for the Consolidated Wagon & Machine company, com-pany, is here this week and is registered register-ed at the Gunnison hotel. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Knighton and Niels Christiansen, left for Salt Lake yesterday morning. Thev will remain at the metropolis over Sunday. Mrs. Lauritz Anderson returned to her home at Ephraim last Sunday afternoon. after-noon. She. had been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rasmus-sen Rasmus-sen for a week. Mr. and Mrs. James Bown returned from Provo Sunday evening. They accompanied their daughter Miss Vera Bown, to the Garden City! Miss Bown will remain for the winter, hav-i ing enrolled as a student in the B. V. j university. j Mr. and Mrs. Hans Tuft, who were; the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Tuft j in this city for several days, returned to their home at Monroe Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Ward of Provo, were the guests of Reuben and Ben Chrlstensen the early days of this week. The Wards motored fro m the Garden City last Saturday. Sterling H. Nelson, of the Nelson-Allred-Beckett company, Salt Lake, wheat and grain brokers, is a guest at the Gunnison hotel. Mr. Nelson is here buying wheat for his company. H. H. Johnston, senior member of the firm of Johnston & Gillespie, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Johnston, motored to Tooele last Sunday. They expect to return to Gunnison the first of the coming com-ing week. Mr. and Mrj. Earl Pickett are receiving re-ceiving the congratulations of their many friends over- the arrival of a baby girl at their home. The baby arrived ar-rived Wednesday and tipped the scales at ten pounds. Miss Belva Erickson, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Erickson of this city,, left for Mt. Pleasant last Tuesday morning. Miss Erickson will, register as a student at the Wasatch academy at the Hub city. Mrs. Robert Cunliffe of Manti, is the guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Taylor. Mrs. Cunliffe came from the county seat to greet the arrival of the new grandson which came to the Taylors last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Willardson were host and hostess at a dinner party at their home last Sunday. Covers were laid for ten and the honor guests were Mr. andlrs. Robert Nielson and Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Jensen of Ephraim. e |
