His manner, dignity and courtesy cour-tesy impressed all he met, and his personality dominated the 1 whole field. When he made u decision there was such posit ivonoss ahout it that no one questioned it. No one ever saw Lynch around the hotels at night, lie always held himself aloof from the players, play-ers, and they seldom caught a glimpse of him until he came tra the field to umpire the game.
