EXTENDS LINES During the past few months tho Gunnison Telephone company has-had has-had a busy siege in the way of improvement im-provement and expansion, and as ii result much new territory has been added and the service greatly improved. im-proved. The work of installing a two-line circuit to Mayfield ha6 just been completed and thus far mora than sixteen new subscribers have been connected, and now Gunnison can "hello" with the little town to the east. Since the invasion of the local company into the new territory the toll station which has been maintained main-tained there by the Mountain States Telephone & Telegraph company has been removed, and from now on all long distance calls will be routed through Gunnison. The local company has just com pleted the running of an additional circuit to Axtell, and through this medium the service has been Improved Improv-ed fifty per cent for the subscribers in that section. Work is being rushed on the second line to Center-field, Center-field, and within ten days or two weeks it is expected this work will have been completed. The management is planning on connecting with the Westover district dist-rict early in the coming spring, and with this line running, Gunnison will be connected with Mayfield, Center-field, Center-field, Axtell, Fayette and Westover, covering practically the entire valley. val-ley.
