Show I I pleased to find the court interesting themselves in their behalf. In accordance with report, Junction Junc-tion road district was divided oa Johnson's Creek and a line running run-ning down south from the head of said creek to summit of Clear Creek mountains, being on the dividing : line. That part east in Junction ! district shall be known as George Creek road district, western part as Junction disti ict. Alexander Anderson Ander-son was an pointed supervisor of Junction district; Joseph F. Tracy, for George Creek. A large nunber of bills were allowed. al-lowed. Report of County Supf. of Schools Angus Vance, informing Court amount of school funds needed for ensuing year, read and filed. The following order was then a-dopted: a-dopted: It is ordered by the County Court that there be levied for the year 1SD4 three mills on the dollar dol-lar as county tax, and two mills on the dollar as county school tax. I lad ley's farm, recommending recom-mending that matter be turned over to Prosecuting Attorney for investigation, read and adopted. The following is the report submitted sub-mitted to the Court by Judge Steed and Selectman Olson, on returning from their visit to the western part of the county: Your committee on visiting west ern roads beg leave to request that we "have visited Bear River district and found the roads in good condition, con-dition, with very few exceptions. The Snowville district is also in a fair condition and but little expense ex-pense is needed to satisfy the people. peo-ple. They, however, ask for an appropriation of about $50, which we would respectfully recommend, to build a bridge across Deep Creek, as petitioned for by residents resi-dents of western Boxaldcr County and southern Idaho. This appropriation appro-priation will not be necessary before be-fore fall, .as the stream sinks before be-fore it reaches the bridge during the summer. The George Creek-Junction Creek-Junction road district requires the attention of the Court in regard to certain road matters. In relation to the cross road petitioned for by residents of said districts, we think the contemplated change would be a great convenience as far as distance dis-tance is concerned, but your committee com-mittee would not recommend any appropriation at present, except a small amount for Junction Valley roads. There avu but few settlers there, but they are energetic and deserve some assistance for their roads. The public travel generally will receive great benefit, as it will open up a direct route, for surrounding sur-rounding settlements. In relation to the difficulty in George Creek-Junction Creek-Junction road district, as referred to in petition from many settlers there, your committee would recommend a division of said district by a line formed by the stream known as Johnson's Creek, thus giving a fail-representation fail-representation of settlers in each district. With few exceptions the Grouse Creek road district is in good condition, the only request hoi ng to open one or two cross roads for the benefit of stock men principally. We would not recoin- mend any appropriation at present. The Terrace road district needs but little repair. The road supervisor should be instructed to prevent the fencing of through county roads. The Park Valley road district is in fair condition and a request pivvaiis for an appropri- ' ation to open a new road from Park V alley to J ui.ct ion and another j to Grouse Creek. These appropria- ! lions, however, are future considerations consider-ations and would not recommend any appropriation at pre-'Mit. The trip in our estimation has hr-r-n for gi'od ai.d the people feel 1 |
