S. favored the meeting meet-ing with a motion song. Supt. Davis reported the Three Mile Creek S. S. as being graded and in good working order. Questions and answers from Bible Stories No. 1 were asked and answered by members of the 1 st intermediate department of the Willard S. S. Miss Hon el la A nderson of the Third Ward S. S. favored the meeting meet-ing with a song. Bro. George Reynolds spoke to the officers and teachers of the S. S. Wished them to teach the pupils not only the letter, but reach their hearts and in fact, if I may say, saturate them with a knowledge of the divinity of the ordinances of the Gospel of Christ. Be well prepared and seek the blessings of the Lord to aid you and you will meet with success. Spoke on the grading of S. S. and some of the doctrines to be taught. Bro. Goddard wished to speak to the boys and girls. The object of our S. S. are to make good men and women out of our children. Do not take into your system anything that will destroy your bodies or your morals. Encouraged concert singing in the S. S. Sang ''Who is on the Lord's side, Who." Singing, "We are Sowing." Superi ntendent Jensen of the Mantua S. S. gave an interesting report of their school. Sacrament administered. While the sacrament was being passed Pres. Clawson made a few remarks. Was pleased with the interest taken by the superintendents superinten-dents of the S. S. in this stake. Spoke of the near visit of Temple workers from Salt Lake City. Bro. Geo. Reynolds again took up the subject of grading the S. S Adapt the subject matter of each department to the capacity of the children. Teach the principles of the Gospel indirectly to the children. child-ren. Place before them the lives of those men whom God has called to carry on Mis work upon the earth. Superintendents should have the support of the parents. The Lord holds us responsible for not teaching teach-ing our children what we know to be true. Wixom felt pleased and instructed in-structed in listening to the remarks made during tho conference. Thought there was no work more important than that of laboring in the S. S. The general and stake Sunday school authorities were presented and unanimously sustained. Bro. Goddard spoke very interestingly inter-estingly on the word of wisdom, exhorti d parents to do away with all things that are not go.nl for the body and teach their children to live pure and holy. Snow made a few opening remarks; was pleased to meet with the saints in a S. S. Conference Con-ference capacity. He gave a brief 'and interesting report of the Sunday Sun-day Schools in the Stake. Reported that school as being in a very good condition and graded after the plan of the guide. Bro. Goddard gave a brief account ac-count of the objects of the visits made by Bro. Reynolds and himself him-self through the different stakes of Zion. He encouraged the officers and members of the Sunday School to be punctual in all their labors. S., gave a brief report re-port of that school. Supt Hansen reported the Fourth Ward S. S. as being in a good condition. con-dition. Bro. George Reynolds desired the Superintendents of S- S. to labor among the people and .try to have every child, who is a Latter-day Saint, enrolled in the Sunday School, and there gain their love so that we may have more influence with them. Leaflet No. 18 was reviewed by members of the intermediate department de-partment of i he Fourth Ward S. S. The Second Ward S. S. was reported re-ported to be in a flourishing condition con-dition by Asst. Supt. Wm. llorsley. Bro. Peter Baiid spoke of the improvement im-provement that is being made by the members of the Sunday Schools and encouraged us to continue our good works. Tho Articles of Faith were repeated re-peated by members of the intermediate inter-mediate department of the Three Mile Creek S. S. Bro. Guddard encouraged the officers to live and train the young in the ways of the Lord. Exhorted Exhort-ed all to keep the word of wisdom so that our bodies will be in a strong and pure condition before the Lord. "Practice what you preach" should he the motto of the teachers. Sang "Water is the drink for me." Bro. George Reynolds spoke of what we learn in the Sabbath school, the blessings God has blessed bless-ed us with and exhorted all to try to appreciate them ami pray to our Heavenly Father for what 'we need.
