Show COIL FI.VD. Kluh Mine jmuovered I" Mi Wentern 1'uri of HitMlcr. Judge Steed and Selectman Olson returned from a trip through the western part of the county. Friday. They bring the intelligence that a valuable coal mine has been discovered dis-covered in the Grouse Creek country, coun-try, a few miles north of Terrace. 1 A 90 foot tunnel has been sunk and as it deepens the vein continues con-tinues to thicken. The coal is of a superior quality, one ton being equal to a ton and a half of Rock Springs coal. The property is on land owned by A. A. Player. It is stated that he has accepted $10,-000 $10,-000 for a portion of the mine from the Central Pacific Ry. Co., and that company is already preparing to project a railway up to the mine, which is in Boxelder County, not very many miles from the main line of the C. P. Ry. The people of the vicinity are elated elat-ed over the prospects of such a permanent -boom to western Box-elder, Box-elder, the extent of which cannot be calculated. |
