Had to Change His Prayer. Chaplain Waldrou, of the Massachusetts Massachu-setts Honse, who as the occupant of that place for the last thirteen years has given universal satisfaction, was mildly remonstrated with the other day because of a certiin petition in his morning prayer. He bud asked the Lord to help his servants redeem the time, enabling them to do two days' work where they had done only one before, and to strike two blows in the place of one. Soon afterward ho was buttonholed by one of the solons, who said, "See here, chap-Iain, chap-Iain, that kind of prayer won't go down here, with all these labor reformers clamoring clam-oring for shorter days and less work.' The minister took his rebuke with his characteristic meekness, and did not even intimate that the persons whom he had especially in mind were the dilly- j dallyiug lawmakers themselves.
