Show SPRING OPENINGS This city should be proud of the opening displays dis-plays provided for the ladies at the different stores on Monday last. In every instance the windows, attractive as they were, formed the smallest part of the beautiful exhibitions which were seen to best advantage within, and such a display of gowns and hats, including thousands of Parisian' and American creat'ons has never . been offered for selection here. At Keith O'Brien's, Walker's, Auerbach's, Hamilton's, Cohn's, and the Paris, the newest ideas in styles and color combinations from home and abroad were exploited for the benefit of the thousands who swarmed in the stores, which were prettily decorated for the occasion, enhancing the beauty of the various effects. An innovation at Walker's is the new rule J making it necessary for those employed to wear white waists and black skirts, and it met with instant approval by all who noticed the change. The windows of all of the above mentioned stores were beautifully dressed and large crowds were in front all day long studying the prevail-ing prevail-ing styles. The demonstration of the new skirt idea, which follows the harem skirt innovation, at Auerbach's, excited a great deal of comment, and the harem skirts in the Hamilton winduw also drew the crowds. On Monday afternoon the west side of Main street was one great mass of femininity, intent on planning and getting their clothes for spr!g and summer, and those who could not buy enjoyed window wishing all day long. The windows of the Keith O'Brien, Walker, Wal-ker, Conn and Paris companies with their tasty displays attracted the ladies in such numbers that Salt Lake looked like a real city, and the dense crowds stretching from Auerbach's and Hamiltons' on the north to Post Offlqe place on the south, made walking almost impossible.
