Show Arizona THE dedication so to speak of that marvelous marvel-ous dam In Arizona recalls renewed attention to that territory. It has vast tracts of fertile lands and a great deal of water. Then, in some respects, it has peculiar advantages. For instance, in-stance, the oranges grown in the vicinity of Phoenix, bring better prices in New York than cither the California or Florida oranges. They are smaller than the California fruit, not so sweet as the Florida, but they have a solidity and juciness superior to either. They gather something from the soil which neither of the others do, and quite possibly this extends to some other fruits, and the Arizonians claim that after a little they will have the greatest great-est fruit state in the Union. There are no finer mines than in Arizona. She has all the elements to make a great state and we hope when the extra session meets it will fix things so Arizona's star will shine out on the flag on the Fourth of July. |
