She is very cute and big sister Madison is excited to have her at home. Grandparents are Moyle and Tracy Johnson and Mondel and Florence Syrett all of Tropic. Dad, Steve and family fam-ily and friends have been busy getting their new house closer to being finished. It has been a busy time for this family, but we are excited for them. Paul and Kim Lewis and family fam-ily have been in our area visiting with family and friends. Kim is the former Kimberly Talbot and she loves coming back to visit everyone. The Lewises also have a brand new baby girl whom they named Madison. She is so cute. Kim is the daughter of Doug Talbot of Hatch and Kristy Talbot from back east. The Lewis family now lives in Kellogg, Ida. Jeanette Pollock was baptized bap-tized and confirmed a member of the LDS Church in the Tropic Ward by her father. Her parents are Gayle and Marie Pollock of Tropic. Grandmother Janet Pollock is also from Tropic. The beautiful little daughter of Shannon and Krista Muir was given a name and a blessing in LDS sacrament meeting on Sunday. They named her Paris Rayne and she was blessed by her grandfather Dean Mc Inelly. Her grandmother is Karleen Mclnelly and great-grandmother is Jean Syrett of Cedar City. Speaking of Jean Syrett, everyone gathered at the Kolob Center to wish her a very happy 87th birthday. Almost all of her family was there and it was very nice. Bret and Sharon Syrett were in charge of getting everything every-thing together and they did a great job. Jean was so happy to see everyone even though she got a bit tired. Someone made the comment that there were over 100 people who stopped in to wish Jean a happy birthday. What a very sweet lady she is. We all love her very much. Marie, Anne-Marie, and Tanner Barton spent two weeks in Pennsylvania with Marie's sister, Kathleen Plessl and her family. This was a very first time airplane trip for the threesome three-some and they were very excited. excit-ed. Marie learned many new ideas about how to fly and making mak-ing reservations. While they were back there enjoying everything every-thing they had rain all but four days of the two-week trip. They still had a marvelous time. They visited the Liberty Bell Shrine, Ellis Island, 'the Statue of Liberty, Niagara Falls, Times Square, the World Trade Centers Site, and Central Park. They also took in some of the historical histori-cal LDS sites, such at the homes of Joseph Smith, the Hill Cumorah Pageant, and the Sacred Grove.: The Manhattan . and Palmrya LDS Temples were their favorite visits. The Bartons had a great time but were glad to come back home and see dad Scott again. Jesse ' Shakespeare of Panguitch was visiting in the Tropic LDS Ward on Sunday with his parents Kevin and Jeanee Shakespeare. Layne and April Le Fevre were able to get away for a few days and enjoy each other's company in Calgary, Canada. There were many cowboys from the Kanab area up there when they were there because all were going to attend the Calgary Stampede. April said they had a wonderful relaxing time and saw some beautiful sights, including the Canadian Rockies. Blaine and Shauna Anderson had all their children home visiting visit-ing lately. Shaine and Anne Anderson and family of Panguitch, Teresa Deccio and children of Las Vegas, and Jared and Holly Lemke of Orem all came to spend the holidays with mom and dad. Teresa's husband, hus-band, Cary, was unable to get away because of work. DeRell and Sarah Sudweeks had daughter Anita Melton of Nevada and grandson Jeff Sudweeks and family home visiting vis-iting for a couple of days. Anita had come up to attend her 20th high school reunion at Bryce Valley. Florene Sudweeks went to the reunion with Anita because her husband was unable to attend. The two sisters had a very good time. Rob and Melinda Dotson of Cedar City were here visiting with Jim and Louise England. Rob was kind enough to help with the clean-up at the park after the celebration and the meals. Wade and Sherry-Lynn Ramsay were here from American Fork visiting with Clare and Mary Lee Ramsay. Seems they just moved into a new home and came to visit Wade's parents. Others I spied runnng around the park were Tyce Palmer and family, and the children of Reed and Mary LeFevre and Martin and Karla Ramsay.' Florence Syrett had her sisters here for a visit. I am sure they spent time with their mother Rella Alvey while they were here. If you are reading this and you know names that are missing call me. |
