Show By Wynona Henderson 679-8560 We've had some really nice rains here and appreciate it so much. Leah Smith was home from Provo for the weekend to visit her mother, Thelma Smith. Thelma, Boyd and Leah went to Santa Clara on Saturday for the baptism of McKenzie Smith. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Smith. Delano Callahan, Gwen Mclnelly, Ramona Copfer and LaRona Callahan went to Cedar City on Tuesday to shop. Ramona went also for a medical checkup. Linda Clayton of Basehar, Kan. is here for a visit with her parents, Delano and LaRona Callahan. Russell, and Lyllian LeFevre received word of twins, great granddaughters born to Jamie Lyman of Escalante. She is the daughter of Tyler and Lisa Lyman. They are named Capree and Chasee. They weighed four pounds four ounces and five pounds two ounces. They were born on1 Monday in Salt Lake City. Lyllian went to Salt Lake and took ' her granddaugther, Breeana Coons home after a' summer vacation. Ashley Adkins was selected to' attend the Governors Youth Conference in Salt Lake City representing Garfield County. She really enjoyed it. Her dadj Robb Adkins picked her up in Beaver. Cody Mortensen e-mailed his parents, Andy and Shawna Mortensen that the went to Iraq then to Kuwait City and then to Crete. Our prayers are with him and his family. Helen Willis went to Pay son with Carla Ramsay to visit Rodney and Michelle Head. Rodney will be teaching school there. He is a son of Larry and Marie Head. Visiting Helen during the week was Rick Willis of Boise, Ida. The family of Oscar and Jean Willis are meeting meet-ing at the Grand Canyon for a reunion. Their children grew up on the north and south rims of the canyon. . The eighth and ninth grade summer league football prao tices are starting now with Max Eagar as the coach and Shawn Mortensen as the. assistant coach. Garfield County Fair time is here. They also visited LDS Temple Square and the Genealogy Library. They stayed Monday night and had a family dinner at their daughter, Trish Dixon's in Riverton. Their son, Dallas and his friend, Lisa and other son, Mitchell Henderson, who is working in Provo, joined them. |
