Show Tropic news By Lynn Munson 679-8627 There was a huge crowd of friends and family attending the wedding reception for Laycee Mangum and Ryan Johnson on Saturday, Apr. 1. The gym at the elementary school was beautifully decorated with fresh Spring flowers and there was a western band for dancing and entertainment. Met and Lana Johnson, Ryan' parents, had all of their large family there along with many friends from Cedar City. Paul and Keela Mangum, Laycee's parents, had all their brothers and sisters and most all their family and there many friends there to celebrate the special evening. Shirley Haycock had a visit from her niece Colleen and Colleen's husband Joey Comp and their six children of Kodachrome State Park. Colleen is the daughter of RaVae and the late Pat Pollock. Lester and Vertis Clarke had two sons and their families home over the weekend. Visiting were Richard and Julie Clarke of Riverton and Ivan and Lori Clarke and three children from Salem. They also visited with brother and sister-in-law Wes and Ellen Clarke and family. They all enjoyed a great time together and great weather to match. Margaret Mecham and Marjie Mecham spent the weekend in Heber City with Bud and Linda Mecham and family. They also visited with Verna Larson in Richfield and Nancy and Bill Hubner in West Valley. Royal Alvey had a fall at home and was taken to Garfield Memorial Hospital last week. He broke three ribs and is still hospitalized. Wife Reela reports that he is recuperating well except for painful ribs. |
