The snowbirds snow-birds are returning to their summer nests and the motel owners are getting things all cleaned and spruced up for the tourist season! Stan and Jan Liston are home from St. George. . Dick and Mary Lyman have opened up the Padre Motel. Mary is cleaning rooms and Dick is trimming trees and doing yard work. Dennis and Pauline Lott and daughters, Elaine and Emily are working on their Lott's Legacy Motel and adding a few more decorative touches. Looks good! Rick Green came down from Park City and bought the property East of the Phillips 66 Station. He (See ESCALANTE onpage 5-A) ESCALANTE From Page 2-A is doing a major renovation on it and plans to open up a coffee shop soon. A good improvement. McKay and Rose Bailey went to Salt Lake City to be with Rose's father, Ira Littlefield. They stayed with him until he was able to leave the hospital then brought him back to his home in Tropic. Dick and Jane Miller and Dick's mother, Elizabeth Miller, have been here from Baird, Neb. Dick and Jane lived here many years ago when he worked on one of the oil rigs. They stayed for a few days with Dick's brother, Howard Miller and his wife, Sandra. |
