Show cmmouviUG nsus By Marva Fletcher 679-8521 Patty Jo Lutes brought her parents, George and Ada Thompson from Las Vegas, Nev., to spend three days here at their home. They visited her Ada's sister Marva Fletcher at the hospital and family members here and were joined by Patty Jo's daughter Barbie Larsen and granddaughter Jocelyn of Elsinore. The Thompsons seemed to be feeling pretty good and it was nice to see them. They visited their three sons, Guy, Joe and George and their families while here and also friends. Joe and Rae Hughes went to St. George Sunday for the blessing bless-ing of a new great-grandson, Easton Bill Littlefield, son of Austin and Sharey Littlefield who was blessed by his father. His grandparents are Marion " and Catherine Littlefield and his great-grandmother is Agenes Littlefield of Tropic. Joe said they also visited other relatives and friends while there. Gloria Clark received word of the death of her brother Marlin Johnson in Salt Lake City. She, along with family members Tonya Syrett and Klyn and Nancy Chynoweth attended the services on Thursday. We send our condolences to the family. Marlin grew up here and attended high school in Tropic. Recent visitors at John and Ramona Morreale's home were Christina Moss and Brandson and Tamra Meewly, son-in-law and daughters. The Cannonville LDS Sacrament meeting program on Sunday was presented by the Clint and Stephanie Brinkerhoff and the Dallas Clark families. Landyn and Austyn Brinkerhoff bore their testimonies, Dallas talked, followed by a beautiful musical number by Emilee Clark, who sang "Close Enough to Touch." Stephanie Brinkerhoff then spoke, followed fol-lowed by husband, Clint. Emilee's mother, Sandy Liston was a visitor at church and enjoyed tending her new grandson. grand-son. Stephanie Scott and her son, Jacob of Mesa, Ariz., are spending spend-ing a few days here visiting her parents, Alma and Anita Fletcher and sister Erica Racker. The Fletchers also, have grandchildren grand-children Chandy and Steven Hansen here from St. George for the holiday weekend. Ralph Mangum visited at the home of Don arid Louise Mangum. His daughter Ann brought him from him home in New Mexico. He is 92 years old. Rita Hammer said, "At our age we should meet with those we love as frequently as possible," possi-ble," as she reported the recent trip she and husband A.C. took to Albuquerque, N.M. to visit with her sisters, Catherine Nygaard of Albuquerque and Ann and husband'Jim Leigh of Kanss-Ciry, Mo. While there, they enjoyed watching a mass balloon ascension at the Albuquerque Balloon Festival and a tour of the of the Albuquerque LDS Temple grounds with a group of Primary children from the area. Don and Dixie Munson visited visit-ed Golden and Roxanna Johnson and winterized their trailer that they have parked here. They have now moved south from Salt Lake City to their winter home in St. George. Savannah Turner was baptized bap-tized and confirmed a member of the LDS church on Sunday by her father Steve Turner. She is also a daughter of Linda and Danny Britt. Lee and Jean Barney and their five sons spent the LDS Conference weekend here with parents Jim and Erma Clarke and helped them prepare for winter. Jim and Erma went to Salt Lake City last Monday for Jim's post-surgery check-up and he was given a clean bill of health. In last week's column, I reported that Jason Lagasse's wife Kaylena was with him in his automobile accident. He was alone in the accident and is now recovering well from a broken bro-ken shoulder. Larry and Glenna Fletcher went to St. George for Larry's medical appointment and Glenna took advantage of the opportunity and spent a day with her parents, Clement and Marie Broderick. They also visited their daughter and son-in-law Denise and Dave Broderick and family in Hurricane before returning home. Bonnie Willis had a visit with son Cornell, his wife Kathryn and son Steven from Orem on Sunday. They attended LDS Sacrament meeting with her and Bonnie learned that her granddaughter grand-daughter Bonnie Linn has received a mission call to Sweden. She is a daughter of Cornell and Kathryn Willis of Orem and the late Terry Ann Willis. KayMar, Mary Jean, and kids Kwin and Koye Willis of Antimony; Kori and Cheston Slater and daughter Whitney of Enoch, Katie Willis and friend from Provo all brought a big load of wood for grandma Bonnie Willis.
