Show : , - Wrf-'"" ' -;" ; ' , . ' .' - r p. ;- ,-, ' ' - .... - - ' . An afternoon accident at the junction of US89 and Hwy 12 last Saturday resulted in two individuals being life flighted. A 2001 Ford Taurus driven by Moorehead, 32 of Washington was headed to Zions National Park and was impacted directly in the drivers side door as Moorehead attempted a left hand turn onto US89 from Hwy 12 and was swept completely off the highway by a 2000 Suburban. Driver of the Suburban, Brook Jolley, 20 of Salt Lake City had her grandfather, James Duke, 73 a passenger in the front seat were both seatbelted and sustained little injury. Her I ' grandmother was asleep on the back seat and sustained broken ribs and a collapsed lung. The driver of the Taurus was life flighted with internal injuries, his front seat passenger Elizabeth Davies, 22 had a broken left arm and her sister, Tia in the rear seat sustained a broken pelvis and was life flighted to Primary Childrens, all three were seat belted. The accident was investigated by UHP Trooper Jared Higgs, Panguitch and his sargeant Danny Ferguson out of Kanab. EMT's and volunteer vol-unteer fire units also responded as well as Sheriff Than Cooper. |
