INVITATION FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT TO ESCALANTE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT CITY OF ESCALANTE, UTAH AIP PROJECT NO. 3-49-0007-02 Sealed bids for improvements improve-ments to the Escalante Municipal Airport, AIP Project N. 3-49-0007-02 will be received by the City of Escalante at the City Council meeting room in City Hall at Escalante, Utah until August 6, 2003 at 3:30 p.m. MDT, and then opened ana read aloud. The work involved includes the following: SCHEDULE I APRON AND TAXIWAY RECONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE II RUNWAY SAFETY AREA GRADING A complete set of Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of Armstrong Consultants, Inc., 861 Rood Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501, for $75.00 for each set. There will be no refunds. Each bid must be accompanied accompa-nied by Certified Check or Cashier's Check in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid, made payable to the City of Escalante, or by a Bid Bond in like amount executed by a Surety Company. The Bidder must supply all the information required oy the proposal forms and specifications, specifica-tions, and heshe must bid on all items of every schedule. The City of Escalante, reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all portions of the various bid items. No proposal pro-posal may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days from the opening thereof. All bidders are advised to examine the site to become familiar with all site conditions. The project will be shown to interested bidders at 3:30 p.m. MDT on July 29, 2003 at the Escalante Municipal Airport. The proposed contract is under and subject to Executive Order 11246 of 24 September 1965, as amended, and to the equal opportunity clause and the Standard Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction Contract Specifications including the goals and timetables for minori ty and female participation. A Certification of Nonsegregated Facilities must be submitted prior to the award of the proposed contract, including includ-ing any subcontracts in excess of! 10,000. The proposed contract is subject sub-ject to the provisions of Department of Transportation Regulations 49 CFR Part 26 (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Participation).
