Syrett 679-8687 vickidiane36hotmail.com Kent and Betty Wintch had daughter, Pam Spencer of Longmont, Colorado drive over to visit them and check up on them to make sure they are both alright. She stayed one night with them and then had to return home. Betty said it was a pleasant pleas-ant surprise. Afton and Del Rae Pollock had Charles and Eleanor Campbell and family of Woodland, California come for a week's visit. Charles is Del Rae's brother. While they were here they visited all the beautiful beauti-ful sites in our area. Before they ' left the Pollock family held a get together at Reed Le Fevre's place. Everyone enjoyed visiting visit-ing and having a great time. Vance and Jeannene Pollock, their children, Shanon and Sunny, and Bart and Peggy Palmer all went to Sedona, Arizona for a vacation. It's not hot enough here? You had to go to a hotter place? They had a very good time. Phyllis Stewart took granddaughter, grand-daughter, Katie Stewart, Mary Miller Boyd took granson, Carl-Thomas Carl-Thomas Boyd, and Dorie Baugh took granddaughter, Emily Courtright and they all went for a hike from Sunset Point down to Cook's Ranch. They said the kids were real troopers and kept everyone going. Friends from Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Paul and Mary Jo Manley, came to visit with Carl and Mary Miller Boyd. They brought their son, Dan, who did the driving and stayed for a short visit. They enjoyed the Sunset on Powell Point and had a lovely meal at Doug's in Tropic. Rella Alvey is back home again and hopefully starting to recover from a second bout in the Garfield Memorial Hospital. We wish you the best Rella and hope you are soon back on your feet and sharing your wonderful hugs and smiles with everyone. June Shakespear is still staying stay-ing in Murray and hopefully is about at the end of her treatments treat-ments and will get to come home soon. Our prayers and thoughts go out to you June and Rella. Hurry and get well. Understand that the Boy Scout camp at Pine Lake was very successful and that over 400 merit badges were earned by the boys. Congratulations and great job everyone. You have very wonderful scout leaders. lead-ers. Our condolences to the Family of Mark Vee Henderson who was killed in an automobile accident up by Nephi. He had just attend the High School Reunion in Tropic and everyone was shocked to learn of his death. Ruby's Inn was the scene of a three class reunion for the years 55, 56, and 57. A great time was had by all. At Tropic Park a four year reunion was held for the years of 58, 59, 60 and 61. Everyone also had a very good time at this reunion. |
