Keeping your children healthy is important But it's not always easy. Without health insurance, medical bills and prescriptions can break the family budget CHIP (Utah's Children's Health Insurance Program) provides health insurance for the children of working families who qualify. For one week, CHIP will be accepting applications by mail, on-line, or in person. This is your chance to get your kids covered by CHIP before they go back to school! CHIP will be holding Open Enrollment July 28 -August 1, 2003. CHIP will look at the number of people in your family and your family's current income to determine eligibility. For example, even a family of four earning up to $36,800. each year may qualify. To qualify, children must be under age 19, a U.S. citizen or legal resident, and not currently covered by health insurance.
