Show p.wguitcu n&vjs By Earl Roe 676-2376 wearlroeyahoo.com This week is off to a good start. I have to apologize to members of the Sandberg family fami-ly for identifying Marie Memmot as a daughter of Rex and Grace instead of Rex's sister. sis-ter. You can chalk this mistake up to one of my "senior moments" or the fact that I was writing the article at 3:30 in the morning and my "proof reader" was in bed. The P.H.S. class of 1968 held their 35 year reunion on Saturday, July 12 at the Flying M Resturant where they enjoyed a good buffet meal while they shared memories of the past and what they had done with their lives over the past years. Former classmates present were (maiden (maid-en names) Diane Jensen, Jolene Sevy, Deanna Frandsen, Dianna Harrison, Creta Rassmussen, Denise Daly, and Connie Linford. Dr. Thomas Marshall, Senator Tom Hatch, Allen Henrie, and Craig Barney represented repre-sented the male members of the class. Many class members could not attend because of the date so it was decided that their next reunion in 2008 will be held during our Pioneer Day celebration when most "Panguitchites" plan on coming home. Those in attendance did not think anyone looked any older which means they still feel young. (I hope they can feel this way on their 50 year reunion) The Henry and Laura Cameron Worthen reunion was held at the Pass over the July 4 holiday weekend. Jerry and Pauline Worthen Royer from Moab were in charge of this year's reunion. There were close to 200 decendents present and they all had a great time. (The Pass is East of Panguitch Lake and a road to Hatch runs through it.) . Debra McKee who manages the D.U.P. Museum reports that a new display room in the basement base-ment is now ready to receive the artifacts which have been in storage. What she now rieeds is some volunteers to help clean these objects as the room used to be the coal room. If any of our local readers have some spare time, Debra would appreciate, your donning some "cleaning clothes" and give her a harfd in getting this room ready for visitors. visi-tors. She expresses her thanks to Jack Soper (project foreman), Laurel Holman, Norm McKee and the missionaries for the' hours they spent on this project. Elijah Kim Sawyer came into this world on June 30 to become a part of the family of Eric and Susie Sawyer and a baby brother broth-er to Keri Kay. His arrival also added a grandson to the progeny of Paul and Laura Julander; Kerry and Elaine Sawyer; and Marsh Williams of Mesquite; and a new great grandson for Golda Julander, Panguitch; May Sawyer, Hatch; Dolly Woodard, St. George; and Dave Williams, Bloomington. Another of Paul and Laura's grandsons, Michael Julander, was crowned King of the July 4 parade in Cedar City this year. Michael is the son of Dave and Jenny Julander. - Merle Stowell had three of her grandsons, Sean, Conner, and Caleb staying with her over the 4th celebration. She also enjoyed visiting with Archie and Grace Henrie and their three daughters, Chloe Ann, Becky, and Holly. (At one time we thought Chloe Ann might become our daughter-in-law.) , I had a short visit with Archie and his family at our Lions Club Breakfast. I think that one of the reasons our breakfasts are so popular is that patrons get to visit with friends (and strangers) who they would not otherwise get to see. "Careless driving, Soon we hope.
