Show tmmiuviuu uuvjs By Wynona Henderson 679-8560 Visiting Helen Willis were her family from Boise, Ida. Larry and Marie Head and their son, who recently returned from his LDS mission to Mexico. Russell and Lyllian LeFevre were in Denver, Colo, last week to the International Lions Club Convention. They were really impressed with the parade which included people from many nations. Barbara Paris of Cedar City brought her mother, Rae Smith home for a few days and she is doing much better. We miss her. Several people from here attended graveside services in Cannonville on Tuesday for Todd Luker. Sandy Johnson and daughter, Esther went to Cedar City one day and tended a grandbaby and took in a movie. Sandy is teaching teach-ing a cake decorating class to local 4-H kids. Visiting Ernie and Wynona Henderson was their daughter, Wendy Davis and boys Jeremy and Austin of Mesa, Ariz. They toured Bryce Canyon and showed off our local area. Jeremy is on leave from his duties in the Marines prior to being stationed at Camp Lejune, N.C. The classes of BVHS year '55-'56 and '57 had a combined reunion last Saturday. They first met at Tropic LDS Ward visiting and eating snacks, then at 6 p.m. they went to Ruby's Inn for a banquet and program. Those who attended were Jeanene Haycock Kinder and Jim of Narco, Calif.; Frank and Pat Jackson, Leeds; Evan and Janine Jolley, Cedar City; Evan Barton and wife of Bountiful; Joe and Ann Ott of Cedar City; Mark and Earleen Henderson of Paragonah; Afton Jolley Peterson and Dale of Saratoga, Calif.; Bonnie Blackwell Mecham and Jerry of Green River; Berdell and Carma Barton, Tropic; Lillis Francisco, Tropic; Ernie and Wynona Henderson of Henrieville; Jim and Louise England of Tropic; Vee and Judy Smith of Hurricane; Ervin and Alice Allen of Santa Clara; Gerald and Dawn Stock of Cannonville; Mate Baugh of Tropic; Terry Mahoney, Mt. Pleasant; Dale and Olene Pollock of Cedar City; Gail Pollock of Tropic; Roe and Kolleen Smith of Banning, Calif.; Irene Emett, Veyo; Larna Peterson, Logandale and Stan and Nellie Rae Mecham of Tropic. We were saddened and shocked to hear of the death of Mark Henderson of Paragonah, who was killed in a car wreck near Nephi only five following our class reunion where he was the master of ceremonies. We enjoyed putting this reunion together and getting to know him better. Our condolescences to his wife, Earleen, and family in Paragonah. He will truly be missed. We were actually in rain storms on Bear Valley and in Red Canyon on Thursday. Didn't last long but sure was a good sight to see. Edith Barker was in Richfield for eye doctors appointments before her surgery. Ernie and Wynona Henderson took Ken Goulding to the doctors in Ivins on Monday. They visited Kenny's daughter, Julie Johnson for her birthday, then visited Mitch Henderson and his friend, Julie Richardson. From there they visited Kenny and Michelle Pollock who are proud parents of an 8 pound baby boy who will be named Nicholas Hunter. Kathy Goulding was in Cedar City to see a foot specialist. Shawn and Lisa Chynoweth and family were in St. George celebrating their son, Jared's first birthday. Klin, Nancy, Kytlin and Korde Chynoweth were the speakers in Henrieville LDS Ward on Sunday. Emily Clark sang a special musical number. . Ramona Copfer and Tina Lagasse were in Salina to pick up Candace Gerber after being up north. Ernie and Wynona Henderson and Joan Jackson attended funeral services for Mark Henderson in Paragonah on Thursday. Several of his classmates were there as well as many family members. Our love and sympathy goes to his wife, Earlene and their family. |
