Show By Marlene Haws . 826-4859 Vince and Kacie Shaefer are the parents of a new baby girl Raigen Lorranie. Little Raigen has a big brother Ethan Cole and a big sister, Mesha at home who have been anxiously awaiting her arrival. She made her entrance into the world Mar. 1. She has a bunch of grandparents: Dwight and Chris Haycock, Gordon and Almeda . Haycock, Stanley Haycock, all of Escalante; Connie Allen, Henrie-ville; Henrie-ville; Tom Shaefer, Grantsville; and I think she has another grandfather who lives in Arizona. An open house was held Mar. 7 at the Escalante Community Center Cen-ter in honor of newlyweds, Glade and Darlene Reynolds. Darlene's family were the hosts. Glade's family hosted an open house in Richfield following their wedding on Mar. 3. Clea Woolsey and Gameal Smith made a trip to Provo last week. Garneal went for a doctor appointment and Clea was able to visit her children while they were in the area. They visited Velma Boulter Boul-ter at the hospital in Panguitch on their way home. Haws and Janet Porter came from Provo to spend a few days at their, place here. They also visited Velma Boulter at the hospital in Panguitch en route. Then Velma came home with Deon Alvey later in the week. i Sue Bassett is sporting a brace on her knee. She went skiing with the school kids, at Brianhead, and ; she and one of the kids took a spill. She twisted her knee and will be walking very carefully for a while. Charlene Woolsey had to take her daughter Brittany to the doctor last week. She was in a lot of pain, but seems to be doing better. Alisha Rechsteiner is recov- ; ering from surgery ort her jaw. ; Teresa Overall is also ! recovering from surgery. Chrystal Carter has been limping around on a sprained ankle. : . Doyle Cottam has been laid ; up for a few days. Yukon Norman reports that her sister and brother-in-law, LaRae and Marion Allen, visited with former resident Verda Griffin who is in a rest home in Hurricane. She had just received word that her twin sister Verna Partridge, Salt lake City, had passed away. The sisters are 91 years old. The first and second LDS wards joined together for their Boy Scout Court of Honor and Banquet on, Mar. 7. It was in celebration of . scouting from 1910 through 2001. Clayton Carter and James Crawford sang a beautiful rendition of "This Land Is Your Land." Thirty-five boys participated in receiving awards and merit badges, and the parents were there proudly looking on. |
