Show L Noreen Evans Noreen Evans Marks 90 Years HATCH Noreen Evans will celebrate her 90th birthday on Wednesday, lune 13. An open house will be held on Saturday, June 16 at her home in Hatch for friends, neighbors and family. She was born in Glendale to Thomas George Clark and Sessie Merrill Clark. She went to school in Orderville where she graduated from Valley High in 1929. She married Lynn (Charlie) Evans in Panguitch in 1930 and he died in 1998 at the age of 90. They were married for 69 years. The marriage was solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. She is a member of the LDS church where she served for the 62 years as the ward organist. She loves beautiful things like sunsets, flowers, all the beauties of nature. She likes working outdoors in her garden and with her flowers. She is an excellent cook, famous for her breads, cinnamon rolls and homemade home-made noodles. She also loves to quilt. She gets a lot of joy out of the small things and spends her days playing Bingo and visiting. She is the mother of five children: chil-dren: Clark (Elsie) Evans, Washington; Wash-ington; Shirlene (Erv) Jensen, Las Vegas, Nev.; Gwen Evans, St. George; Ireta (Rich) Tebbs, Bloom-ington; Bloom-ington; and Deloy (Jolene) Evans, Hurricane. She has 31 grandchildren, grandchil-dren, 57 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren. |
