Show Bryce Valley Business Ass'n Hosts Annual Welcome Day TROPIC The Bryce Valley Business Association (BVBA) will sponsor its 2nd Annual Welcome Day Thursday, June 14 at the Bryce Pioneer Village in Tropic. The event is held to introduce campground hosts, information center cen-ter workers, government and private business owners to the services and businesses available in the Bryce Valley area. Invited guests will begin with a free all-you-can-eat breakfast provided pro-vided by the BVBA and held at Bryce Pioneer Village at the south end of town on Main- street. Participants Par-ticipants will dine on buttermilk pancakes, eggs, hash browns, bacon, ba-con, sausage, juice and milk. While dining a brief program is slated where speakers will familiarize familiar-ize those in attendance with venues from around the area such as Bryce Canyon National Park, Grand Stair-case-Escalante National Monument, Kodachrome State Park, etc. Presentations Pres-entations will also be made by the Garfield Travel Council and Cherokee Chero-kee Springs Golf and RV south of Hatch. Twenty local businesses comprise com-prise the business association and several of those owners will give brief presentations about their establishments. es-tablishments. Then guests will be encouraged to travel around Bryce Valley and stop in to see each motel, mo-tel, restaurant, bed and breakfast. As an incentive, folks will be given maps to the area for a "caid run" and each at venue they stop, they will receive one poker card per person. At the end of their run each ' individual will make the best poker hand they can devise out of the cards collected. These poker hands will be reported and prizes assigned for the best hands with the grand prize being a set of golf clubs donated do-nated by Mike and Dixie Burbidge of Stone Canyon Inn. |
