Show Wmt & WW Dorothy Houston Dorothy Houston Celebrates 80th PANGUITCH Dorothy W. Houston will celebrate her 80th birthday with an open house on Feb. 16 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Panguitch 2nd3rd LDS Ward Chapel. Family and friends are invited in-vited to help her celebrate, but no presents please. Dorothy married Dee. F. Houston Hous-ton and they raised four boys together: to-gether: John Houston of Panguitch; Pan-guitch; Fred Houston of Logan; Frank Houston of Panguitch; and David Houston of Sacramento, Calif.. They also have 19 grandchildren grand-children and three great-grand children. chil-dren. Dorothy came to Panguitch to teach school. Before retiring, after over 40 years of teaching, she had taught three generations of many Panguitch families, three of her sons, and four of her grandsons. Active in community activities, activi-ties, Dorothy served in many offices of-fices in BPW including president. When she served as district president presi-dent for BPW, she traveled all over Southern Utah to carry out her duties. du-ties. Dorothy is remembered for her involvement with the youth of Panguitch. She worked in both the LDS MIA and Primary but her first love has been the Scouting Program. Pro-gram. After serving with the Cubs for many years, she went on to be a Merit Badge Counselor. Dorothy was a scout master and many young men give her credit for them earn their Eagle Scout awards. |
