Escalante participated in the (See BV And Escalante Compete At State In Orem On Page 2A) BV And Escalante Compete At State From Front Page competition taking nine girls, who all competed in prop, military and dance. Advisor Kim Reid said that it was a tough year for the Moquet-tes Moquet-tes with their numbers down by half from the 1996 18-member team. They had problems with their bucket props and streamers. Karla Roundy was also an advisor for the year. Ten teams were represented in the competition; 40 girls in all. Arianne Barton from Bryce Valley Val-ley was one of those chosen to be on the All-State drill team, where the girls had to learn and perform a complete routine in only a few hours. Sarah Johnson, Holly Rich, and Arianne Barton were also chosen to be on the All-Region drill team. Information on the Panguitch High School Bobettes was in the Feb. 6 issue of the Garfield County News. Our apology for inadvertently inadver-tently omitting information on all three teams that week |
