Show i I ffigi :i mmrxm ' i - - Bernard D. Henrie J PANGUITCH Our caring, i family-oriented father, Bernard D. ! Henrie, 89, passed away Monday, June 1, 1998 at the Panguitch Long Term Care Center. He was born June 18, 1908 in Panguitch to James Nathan Henrie and Sarah Olive Lee Henrie. He married Annie Elizabeth "Beth" Henrie in Circleville, on May 6, 1935. The marriage was solemnized June 8, 1935 in the Logan LDS Temple. She proceeded him in death Jan. 12, 1988. Bernard attended Panguitch schools and Utah State University in Logan. He valued education and encouraged and financed his children in their endeavors, and was a very proud father of their achievements. Each of his grandchildren has followed fol-lowed after his natural ability to work hard, with a love for education. educa-tion. He always loved music. He played the cornet in the school band as well as playing an alto sax-aphone sax-aphone at social gatherings, always loving people and being active. He was an active member of LDS Church in his early years. He was an active member in the Junior Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club, West Panguitch Irrigation Co., the Farm Bureau, the Panguitch Pan-guitch Wildlife club, and held the office of president in some of the organizations. He was also a charter char-ter member in the Utah Farm Production Pro-duction Credit Association. He was a successful farmer and livestock rancher in the Panguitch area until he retired around 1985. Because of his determination to get ahead, he always paid off his loans v ,v - - i i ' k" ; ' ' Bernard Henrie before yielding to "any" personal interests. He is survived by his children: Bernice (Don P.) Miller, Klamath Falls, Ore.; James Burdell Henrie, Herriman; Saralea "Sally" (Chad) Heaton, Hyde Park; Arlene "Toi" Williamson, Boise, Ida; Marlene "Beanie" (Robert Allen) Palmer; Albequerque, NM; brother, Keith O. (Rosamond) Henrie, Panguitch; 16 children and 16 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his wife; parents; brothers and sisters Fern Olive Henrie Slade, James Usher Henrie, Harvey Ferald Henrie, Hen-rie, Roy Lee Henrie, and George Champ Henrie. Funeral services will be held on Mon., June 8 at 11 a.m. at the Panguitch Stake Center. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. that same morning. Burial will be in the Panguitch Cemetery.
