This Spring, residents in Escalante have planted 177 trees, some up to 20 feet tall, along Highway 12 (the city's main thoroughfare), in two town parks, and on private properties along the highway. Upcoming projects include a new regulation softballLittle League playing field fence, picnic pic-nic pavilion, and bathrooms in the newly developed downtown ball park. There is also increasing interest inter-est in a "farmer's market" co-op, with Sheree Rechsteiner heading up the committee. |
