Show Hatch Centennial Dinner Tremendous Success HATCH The Hatch Town Centennial was extremely successful success-ful and a delight for all who attended. at-tended. It is just one of many events that the town has planned to commemorate the state's Centennial. The meal featured Deep Pit Barbecued Beef and Pork with a wide variety of accompanying potluck dishes brought by each family attending. Homemade bread, pies and cakes topped off the sumptuous cuisine. The Hatch LDS Ward Cultural Hall was decorated in a red, white and blue Centennial motif with ta- bles featuring attractive fall leaves and pumpkins. A Centennial Program featured Darol Allred speaking about Utah statehood and Collen Comp reading a very moving, award-winning Centennial essay. The Hatch Centennial Committee sponsored a gift drawing draw-ing with Adell Riggs winning a Utah woven blanket, Joey Comp winning a carved beeswax candle and Rick Sawyer winning a commemorative com-memorative Utah Centennial pin. The program also featured local children singing Utah songs. |
