Show America Today It's a red letter day for our nation, There's a stain spreading over our land, A child has been unjustly punished, For something he can't understand. A kiss on the cheek of his playmate, An act, that shows beauty and joy, Was interpreted by his school teachers As sexual poor, poor boy. These big educational leaders Said he couldn't come back to his school For this six-year-old boy must be punished; With his kiss, he had broken their rule. We've accepted so much that is evil, As part of our nation's (new way), A mother can murder her baby, "It's her right," the authorities say. A man can lay down with another, And now they are fighting to wed, We throw out the values God gave us, And substitute garbage instead. But a price must be paid for this evil For God is still master of all, Man's wisdom is sad, and it's sorry, As it causes this nation to fall. The devil is dancing and laughing As he watches us bow to his will, There is lying and cheating and drugging, And a new found desire to kill. We've reached a new low in our thinking, For this land that God gave us to rule. When the innocent kiss of a child Is the reason he's put out of school. Margaret P. Trask Hatch |
