Show Christmas Trees On Forest Land Families desiring to cut their own Chris'mas tree will be able to cut 'heir 'ree on the Cedar City District of the Dixie Na'ional Forest again 'his year, according to Ranger Rollo Brunson. The Christmas 'ree cutting area will be in 'he Castle Creek area loca'ed approximately four miles eas' of Cedar Breaks National Mnumen' along the Panguitch Lake Road. Families are to secure 'heir permit from the Forest Officer located on-site. Permits will not be sold in 'he District Office. Alpine fir is the primary species to be cu' . Highway U-148 'hrough Cedar Breaks National Monument is closed, leaving U-143 (Parowan to Panguitch) as the access to the Chris'mas 'ree cutting area. Over-snow Over-snow vehicle skis or snowshoes, may be helpful in obtaining a tree. A Fores' Officer will be at the site with permits available on: Saturday, Satur-day, Nov. 29, and Sunday 'Nov. 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 5, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Saturday, Dec. 20 by appointment.
