Show emm imm :jSEB By Marta Peterson 834-5306 The month of March came in uncharacteristically like a lamb and showered Bryce Canyon with sun not snow. The warm temperatures succeeded in reducing the snow pack but the majority of the snow is still in evidence. Tiffany Peterson, daughter of Bob and Julie Cox, spelled her way to high honors, winning the Bryce Valley Elementary School spelling bee and the district elementary spelling bee held in Panguitch. She also competed in the Middle School spelling bee and came in a highly respectable third place. This is quite an accomplishment for a ten-year-old student. Congratulations, Congratula-tions, Tiffany. Dave Mecham spent a day perfecting per-fecting his cross country skiing telemarking skills at Brianhead. The March employee birthdays were celebrated with delicious cakes and cookies baked by the Interpretive Interpre-tive Rangers and the Resource Management Division's, Dan Foster. Fos-ter. Tim Wright was honored at the all staff meeting with a certificate and a pair of high tech snow shoes. Tim contributed over 500 hours of valuable work with three divisions: the Superintendent's office, Maintenance Mainte-nance and the Ranger Division. Thank you, Tim. The roof snow removal team received re-ceived a monetary bonus for a job well done clearing park buildings of heavy accumulations of snow. |
