Show By Jeanne Harshman 335-7348 The snow is melting more each day and the smell of spring in the air is getting stronger. Robins and bluebirds are just some of the birds seen in our valley. The monthly LDS Relief Society Soci-ety work meeting was attended by 20 ladies. Lenora LeFevre gave a lesson on the importance of reading labels on products and reading instructions in-structions on how to operate anything any-thing mechanical. Jeanne Harsh-man Harsh-man gave a presentation on health and how the body and mind function func-tion together to create positive or negative responses within the body's cell system. A quiz was given and Rcbekah Flagstaff anil Susan Fullmer won prizes for answering an-swering the most questions correctly. cor-rectly. A salad bar luncheon was planned and prepared by Ada Cox and Jeanne Harshman with assistance assis-tance from Carrie Ryan and Ashley Greer. Surprise gifts, prenumbercd to match numbers under the chairs were awarded to Barbara Gardner, Julee Lyman, Ada Cox and Carrie Ryan. Topping off the meeting was emphasis on beauty with Julee Lyman demonstrating how to cut hair. Her models were Nolan Lyman Ly-man and Sue Bassett. Again this week the Kelly Roundy, Larry Davis, Lyman and Coombs clans traveled to Cedar City to cheer on their sons and Boulder's favorite sons playing in the state basketball tournament for Escalante High School. The planning commission held their first independent meeting. The volunteer firemen are studying the "Essentials of Firefighting" under un-der the direction of Fire Chief Ray Harshman and instructor Bill Cox. Barb and Marv Wood were up to their Rainbow Ranch for a few days and enjoyed the beautiful weather. The aerobics class in now in their 9th week and those attending are noticing changes for the better. Let us know what is new with you. |
