Show Ruby Moore Will Be Honored On Saturday HENRIVILLE Friends and neighbors will honor Ruby Moore on her 80th birthday from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at the Henrieville Senior Center. The center is located in the old Henrieville Hen-rieville school house where Ruby Moore attended school from the first through the eighth grade. She was born March 11, 1909, in Henrieville to James Edward and Nellie Elizabeth Smith, the first of 10 children born to the couple. On June 28, 1929, she married Charles Luther Moore in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in 1958. They had three children, Charles, Ogden; Jeanine (deceased); and Layton, Snohomish, Wash. She has four grandchildren and several nieces who consider her a second mother. Still active, she teaches lessons in LDS Relief Society and was recently re-cently honored for 60 years as an active visiting teacher for the LDS Church. |
