Show County Sells Surplus Property Recently approved minutes of the Garfield County Commission show that several surplus items were sold. A 1955 Cat grader was sold to the city of Panguitch for $2,500; a 1973 IHC one-ton dump-bed dump-bed truck, to the Panguitch Cemetery Ceme-tery District for $1,000; and a 1971 Aladdin Camp trailer, to John Talbot Tal-bot of Panguitch for $453. Several county road crew men attended a pesticide certification school at Beaver during the month of February. Commissioners donated $50 to each county team participating in the Round Robin. Fifty dollars was also made available for any team going to state. Bryce Valley was able to take advantage of this. Mr. and Mrs. James Kochcrhans, Ticaboo, received a county business license to operate Mama K's Burger Shop. County Library Board member Marilyn Brinkerhoff asked the county for assistance in securing a grant to buy a computer for the library. li-brary. The library was given the computer from the recorder's office. A unanimous vote by the commissioners com-missioners gave a vote of confidence confi-dence to newly hired Jean Sieler, Ruby's Inn, who will head the county's economic development program. The agreement became effective Feb. 22, 1989. Don Grimmer, Bryce Canyon Airport manager, was denied his request to convert an old FAA building at the airport into two apartments. The commission has approved a request by a Japanese firm to test one of their products on a strip of the Burr Trail. |
