Show J CIST STUFF V v I did it again, only this time it was a double whammy. Always in need of an idea for rvy column, I try to watch out for upcoming holidays, happenings and special occasions they're always good for a line or two. But, once again, I was a day late and a dollar short. Father's Day came and went without so much as a meager mention men-tion from me about those marvelous mar-velous men who answer to the name "DAD." The fact that my dad is no longer around, and my husband, Kraig, luckily doesn't have the "DAD" label yet, is no excuse. Being Be-ing a dad can be no easy task and I should have tipped my hat to that fine fraternity of fatherhood. Guys, my hat is off to you all! Like I said, this week is a dou- J blc whammy. No, J didn't miss some other occasion, but I did, once again, put off until too late that which should have been done on time! I'm a day late and a dollar short on Just Stuff. Last week was a busy week and come Friday morning, morn-ing, when my column is supposed to be filed away in the Reaper's computer file, the file was bare. No problem. I know, on occasion, I can stretch it over until Monday morning. I'd just write my column over the weekend. Needless to say, the column didn't get written over the weekend, which Kraig and I stretched into Monday, by taking a day off. Well, I figured I could press my luck to the limit and would write the column col-umn the minute I got home Monday Mon-day night. We left Richfield in good time Monday afternoon, so I'd have plenty of time to write Just Stuff. It would be in the computer bright and early Tuesday morning for Editor Edwards. It sounded good, but there was one hitch. We didn't make it home in good time. That explains why, at 1:30 Tuesday morning, while Kraig is sawing logs, I'm click-clacking click-clacking away at the keyboard so Just Stuff will be there. Once more the Princess of Procrastination pulls through! |
