Show flREfl OBITUARIES Esther Englestead Esther Englestead, 67, Tucson, Ariz., died Feb. 16, 1985 in Tucson. She was born Jan. 1, 1918, Oak Creek, Colo., to Steven and Mary Alice McAmous Campell. She was married to M. Van Englestead, Aug. 17, 1937, Ely, Nev., later solemnized in the Mesa IDS Temple. She resided in Ely, Pioche and Henderson, Nev. She was active in civic affairs and the LDS Church. Survivors: husband, Tucson; son, daughter, Vanice, Charles J., both Tucson. Funeral services were Tuesday in Tucson. Graveside services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Panguitch Cemetery,. Friends may call at the Panguitch Stake Center from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Funeral director: Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield. ' Retha W. Shurtz ESC AL ANTE - Retha Wilcock Shurtz, 68, Escalante, died Feb. 19, 1985, in a Murray hospital. She was born July 1, 1916, Escalante, to William Daniel and Ruth Cottam Wilcock. She was married to Edwin Beryl Shurtz June 13, 1936, St. George LDS Tempje. She was an active member of the LDS Church, holding positions in the Relief Society and Primary. Survivors: husband, Escalante; son, daughter, Beryle Carlyle, Sandy; Mrs. Tom (Marilyn) Jackson, Escalante; seven grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Virginia Bauer, Cedar City; Mrs. Thalma Marsh, Escalante. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Escalante LDS Ward chapel where friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Escalante Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield. |
